Who is Oasis?
Oasis (Outside Agent Sales Integration System) is a division of the Smart Travel Group located in Boca Raton, FL. Our owners have been in business since 1987 and have a significant presence on the internet. Because of our substantial revenue and buying power we can offer you the highest commissions available. What type of agent partner is OASIS looking for?
Smart Travel Group is a fast paced and quickly growing company. We are looking for experienced agent partners that want to grow their business and earn more money. We have training webinars and all agents have access to Signature University to expand their travel industry knowledge.
How much does it cost?
The only cost to join OASIS is the amount of the plan you choose. Plans range from $39 to $500 per month. Please visit www.oasisagent.com/plans for more information or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The New2Travel program cost is $3495. There is a payment plan. If you pay in full you will receive a $500 discount. Contact email@example.com for more information.
Do I have to change the way I do business?
The only thing that will change is the agency number you give suppliers. All payments will go through our travel agency. Clients' documents will be sent to you by the supplier or by us.
How is your company doing financially?
We began our business in 1987. Our most profitable years have been the last two. Our sales increased 100% in 2009 over 2008. We our doubling our office space at corporate headquarters to meet the demand. In this new century, marketing is at the heart of a successful travel business. We are experts at internet marketing and we can give you the the tools you will need to grow your income.
Do I need Errors and Omissions insurance?
We highly recommend that you purchase your own E&O insurance.
Will I keep ownership of my clients?
Yes! You are self-employed and your client list is yours.
What organizations is Smart Travel Group a member of?
We are a member of ARC, ASTA, BBB Better Busines Bureau, IATAN, CLIA, NACTA, and the Signature Travel Network.
What other expenses might I expect?
As an owner of a home based business you should expect to pay phone expenses, internet access, shipping costs, domain name, marketing, office supplies, etc.
Can I have brochures shipped to me?
Yes, you can order direct from the supplier.
What are your support hours?
We are here to help Mon-Fri. from 9am to 6pm EST. Most times you will receive an answer within the hour and often on weekends if it is an emergency.
Do you offer blocked space on cruise lines?
Yes we offer 1000's of sailings that you can book into to receive special pricing and amenites for your clients.
Can I book air through OASIS?
We encourage our agents to book air in a variety of ways - through our preferred consolidators or directly with the airlines. We can process service fees for you.
Do I have to book everything through Oasis?
As an independent contractor you are not required to book through one agency. However, similar to cruise lines, the more business we receive from you the more support we can give.
What is the cost of the New2Travel program?
The cost is $3495 and includes all the items mentioned on www.oasisagent.com/new2travel. There is a $500 discount if this amount is paid upfront. What we offer represents thousands of dollars you would need to spend to recreate the tools, systems, training, and marketing technology that we include in our New2Travel and OASIS programs.
What training can I access?
OASIS strives to schedule relevant and informative training webinars. You will have access to a full range of our Signature Travel Network and industry trainings. We encourage our agents to attend the yearly OASIS and Signature Sales Meeting and Tradeshow held in Las Vegas each November. Signature also provides links to online destination and lifestyle training, supplier webinars, Fams, and online reference guides. Signature University is free to you with a variety of on demand, online training modules. We encourage you to join NACTA and take advantage of their educational opportunities.
Does Oasis offer Fam trips?
Besides Signature Fams, Oasis agents will have access to Fam trips offered by suppliers. To take advantage of these you must meet the eligibility requirements of the supplier.
Does Oasis offer an Iatan card?
Yes. To qualify for an IATAN card, an agent affiliate must work a minimum of 20 hours per week and earn a minimum of $5000 in commissions annually.
ACCOUNTING AND COMMISSIONS
How often do I get paid?
We pay on the 5th and the 20th of each month.
When does my booking qualify for payment?
Typically commissions will be paid on the first pay date following the day of departure of your client. This, of course, depends on OASIS having received commission from the supplier. It is the agent affiliate's responsibility to follow up with the supplier if OASIS has not received the commission.
Can I charge service fees to my client?
Definitely! You can us our merchant account to process any service charge as long as you have the client's permission. Remember the bank will charge a 3% fee.
How does OASIS track my commission?
Bookings entered into our online booking report form will automatically be entered into our ClientBase accounting system. Our accounting department will do the work for you. You will be able to access your client information and bookings anytime, anywhere with this web based program.
Can I see my bookings and commission report?
Yes. In Clientbase that information is available to you 24/7.
What type of marketing does OASIS offer?
We have a variety of marketing tools to choose from. Personalized, professional website design is available to you. Content for your webiste that is constantly updated will make you look like the professional you are. You can set and forget email marketing campaigns that remind your clients who you are. Automatic e-Greeting cards remember client's birthdates, holidays, passport expirations, welcome homes, etc. are also available. And beautiful, incredibly inexpensive "snail" mail pieces can be mailed for you. And of course, all of the above with your unique branding!
